About the Heidelberg Township Farmland Preservation Advisory Committee
In 2024, the voters of Heidelberg Township approved a new earned income tax (0.175% ) to be used for Farmland and Open Space Preservation which generates approximately $170,000 in revenue annual. These funds are placed in a restricted account that may not be used for other Township purposes. The Heidelberg Township Board of Supervisors have created the Farmland Preservation Advisory Committee to recommend to the Board plans, policies, and programs for the promotion and retention of open space and land preservation within the township, hold public meetings for residents' input, and education purposes, among other responsibilities. The Farmland Preservation Advisory Committee will meet at 7:00pm on February 13, August 14, November 13, and December 11, 2025. All are invited to attend these meetings. Meetings will be held at the Heidelberg Township Municipal Building at 6727 Route 309, New Tripoli, PA 18066.
