Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Why did I get a letter about the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations relating to my property?
A: The new "Airport Overlay" shown on the amended Zoning Map simply reflects the boundaries of the areas affected by the FAA restrictions related to the existing airport in the township. There are no changes to Part 13 of the current zoning ordinance (Chapter 27 of the code) relating to the airport-related required zoning restrictions within the zoned 'Airport Hazard Overlay'.
Q: What kind of changes are proposed in the Zoning Ordinance Amendment?
A: Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance include: definitions of terms, additional zoning boundaries, changes to land uses, yard and parking requirements, and special regulations, among others.
Hard Copies of the draft documents are available for viewing in the Heidelberg Township Office during regular business hours: Monday through Thursday 8 am to 5 pm. Fridays are by appointment only.
A public hearing will be held November 25, 2024 at 5:30 pm in the Heidelberg Township Municipal Building Meeting Room.
